Opening question: Guess some of the beautiful gardens in the world?

If you are asked to describe how heaven will look like, what would you say?

Text: Isaiah 35:1–10

Point 1: God Turns the Desert into a Beautiful Garden (Isaiah 35:1–2, 6b–7)

1 The desert and the dry ground will be glad. The dry places will be full of joy. Flowers will grow there. Like the first crocus in the spring, the desert will bloom with flowers. It will be very glad and shout for joy. The glorious beauty of Lebanon will be given to it. It will be as beautiful as the rich lands of Carmel and Sharon. Everyone will see the glory of the LORD. They will see the beauty of our God. 6b Water will pour out in dry places.Streams will flow in the desert. 7 The burning sand will become a pool of water. The thirsty ground will become bubbling springs. In the places where wild dogs once lay down, tall grass and papyrus will grow.

Sometimes life feels empty and dry, like a desert. We go through hard times—maybe we feel sad, stuck, or far from God. But Isaiah tells us that God can change things. Just like flowers can bloom in dry land, God can bring new life to your situation. Places like Lebanon, Carmel, and Sharon were full of beauty and growth and that’s what God wants to do in your life. This isn’t just about the land, but about your heart and your life. If you feel hopeless or tired, don’t give up. God can bring joy, healing, and peace again. He can take your pain and turn it into something good. Trust Him, even when it takes time. Pray, read the Bible, and believe that God is working, even when you can’t see it. Your desert will not stay dry forever.

Point 2: God Helps the Weak and Heals the Broken (Isaiah 35:3–6a)

3 Strengthen the hands of those who are weak. Help those whose knees give way.

4 Say to those whose hearts are afraid, “Be strong and do not fear. Your God will come. He will pay your enemies back. He will come to save you.” 5 Then the eyes of those who are blind will be opened. The ears of those who can’t hear will be unplugged. 6 Those who can’t walk will leap like a deer. And those who can’t speak will shout for joy.

Many people today feel tired, sick, or sad. Life is hard, and sometimes it feels like we can’t go on. But God tells us to help each other to encourage people who feel weak and scared. We are not alone. God promises that He is coming to save and help us. The Bible says the blind will see, the deaf will hear, and the people who cannot walk or speak will be full of joy. This shows us that God is powerful and kind. He can heal anything our bodies, our hearts, and our lives. If you’re feeling broken, keep trusting Him. And if you know someone who’s struggling, be there for them. Share kind words, pray for them, and remind them that God is close. Even in hard times, He gives us hope. He is not far away He is near, and He is working to make things right.

Discussion question: Have you ever felt really sad in your life, and did God help you during that time? If things are still hard, what can you do today to keep trusting God?

Point 3: God Guides His People on a Joyful Road (Isaiah 35:8–10)

8 A wide road will go through the land. It will be called the Way of Holiness. Only those who lead a holy life can use it. “Unclean” and foolish people can’t walk on it. 9 No lions will use it.No hungry wild animals will be on it. None of them will be there. Only people who have been set free will walk on it. 10 Those the LORD has saved will return to their land. They will sing as they enter the city of Zion. Joy that lasts forever will be like beautiful crowns on their heads. They will be filled with gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing will be gone.

God gives His people a special road to walk on. Isaiah calls it the “Highway of Holiness.” This road is safe and full of joy. It leads to God’s presence, where there is no more pain or sadness. Today, many people feel lost or unsure where life is going. But Jesus shows us the way. When we follow Him, we are on the right path. This path is not always easy, but it is full of God’s love, peace, and joy. God promises that if we stay close to Him, we will one day have eternal happiness with Him. So don’t give up. Keep walking with Jesus. Pray, read the Bible, go to church, and try to live in a way that makes God happy. Even when life is hard, joy will come. Stay on the path, and one day, all sorrow will be gone. Jesus will lead you home.
